As a native of Georgia, I may be biased; however, I have found Northeast Georgia is an awesome place to live, work, and play. From the hills of Habersham, Stephens, and White counties to mountains and valleys of Fannin, Lumpkin Rabun, Towns, and Union, there is an abundance of restaurants, shops, and adventures for all ages and walks of life.
Although there are numerous franchise restaurants in the area, there are far more small business restaurants. Restaurants in the area feature multiple cuisines including: American, Cuban, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, and Thai, just to name a few. Don’t forget to check out our local restaurant reviews as they are posted.
Shopping in the area is as equally unique. Again, there are a few franchise shops, with many small businesses. Antiques, furniture, specialty shops and fashionable clothing are all featured in the area.
Aside from the dining and shopping, there is also the adventure of the great outdoors. With the multiple rivers and lakes, fishing, boating, and kayaking are opportunities for adventure. Not to mention camping, hiking and mountain biking trails. Want more thrills? Multiple zipline companies will have you soaring through the trees and mountains in no time. Need a slower pace? Relax and take in the views.
Overall, Northeast Georgia provides the necessary elements to live, work, and play. Come visit and stay awhile, and you will find your own adventure.
